RESPONSIBILITIES :
You will be joining a team of committed engineers responsible for the design and integrity of the Yaw System
Verifying the structural integrity of the components & develop workflow
Clarifying design requirements with all relevant stakeholders & perform Failure Mode Analysis (i.e. DFMEA)
Obtaining & often modifying CAD geometries to match those requirements
Setting up and implementing FE analyses to verify the new geometry
Create and maintain documentation towards the design
To assist meet the constant opportunity of designing larger and more complex wind turbine structures.
QUALIFICATION :
Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical / Structural / Similar engineering
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in design & development of progressive mechanical systems
Finite Element Analysis (FEA - e.g.: Ansys / Abaqus)
Systems Engineering experience
Certification is good to have, e.g.: INCOSE / formal training
Electromechanical experience
Modular product development & Project Management.
COMPTENCIES :
Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow
Have a good understanding of CAD modelling in order to
Make small modifications to existing CAD models & efficiently communicate with CAD designers
Are committed to advancing the state-of-the art in Wind Turbine simulation technology
Have good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Experience with Ansys & Creo & knowledge of Agile development methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum)
Proficient at coding within a common scripting language (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
